AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died Sunday evening after a vehicle struck them along the highway in west-central Austin, reports CBS Austin.
The incident happened just before 5 a.m. on the southbound side of the North Capital of Texas Highway near Courtyard Drive, which is west of Bull Creek and north of the Colorado River.
Police say the pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased, nor have they clarified whether or not the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Officials closed all lanes of the highway while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
