TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Emergency crews were at the scene of a crash in Travis County early Sunday that claimed the life of a child, reports KXAN.
Austin-Travis County EMS said six vehicles were involved in the accident in Manor, in the 10000 block of State Highway 130 north near the Parmer Lane exit.
Rescue units responding at about 12:45 a.m. reported there were six patients. One, a child whose age was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were hospitalized with potentially serious injuries. Two adults were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center. A child and a teenager were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center. A sixth person refused to be transported.
Authorities shut down State Highway 130 in the area of the crash for several hours while the scene was being cleared. There was no immediate word on what led to the accident.
