AUSTIN, TX – One person died on Friday evening in Austin after a major collision along the interstate near Georgian Acres.

According to CBS Austin, the incident happened on the southbound side of I-35 near East Wonsley Drive, which is just west of Hart Elementary School and north of the junction with TX-183.

Authorities have not shared any details about the crash except to say that one person died at the scene after medics performed CPR. That person has not been named publicly at this time.
