NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – Five adults and two juveniles died Sunday night in a two-vehicle collision along a highway in northwest New Braunfels, reports The Seguin Gazette.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on the eastbound side of FM2722 near Buffalo Spring Road, which is just north of the Rockfield RV Park.
The investigation thus far indicates that a westbound F-150 pickup truck veered into the eastbound lane and collided head on with a Chrysler SUV.
Both male occupants from the F-150 died at the scene of the collision.
Three adults and two juveniles from the SUV also died.
Medics transported a 12-year-old girl from the SUV to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
