TRAVIS CO., TX – One person went to the hospital after an 18-wheeler and a vehicle collided on a highway in eastern Travis County on Wednesday, reports KXAN Austin.

Austin-Travis County EMS says that the incident happened just after 2:35 a.m. on the westbound side of US Highway 290 at FM 100, which is between Manor and Elgin.

Officials have not released many details regarding the circumstances of the crash except to say that one person sustained serious injuries in an entrapment situation.
