AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died Monday morning in a crash that happened in East Austin just south of Decker Lane and Emma Long Metropolitan Park.
CBS Austin reports that the incident happened around 6:46 a.m. at 5900 Blue Bluff Road near Esquire Acres Lane.
Police say the pedestrian may have suffered a cardiac arrest. They declared the individual dead at the scene of the alleged collision.
Officials have not indicated whether the driver of the vehicle stopped to render aid. The full circumstances of the incident remain unclear.
An investigation is underway with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
