SPICEWOOD, TX – Medics airlifted one person last Friday after a solo crash involving a cement truck at a Spicewood intersection, reports KVUE.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of SH-71 and Rivercliff Drive, which is just west of Paleface Ranch.
The investigation indicates that a diver become trapped after his cement truck overturned on SH-71. It’s unclear at this time what caused the truck to roll.
The accident spilled cement across both sides of SH-71, which caused lane closures in both directions.
Emergency crews worked to extricate the driver, who sustained serious injuries. He was transported via STAR flight to Dell Seton.
A full investigation is underway.
