AUSTIN, TX – Medics were unable to resuscitate the adult driver of a vehicle that crashed into a creek in central Travis County on Saturday afternoon, reports KXAN.
Police say the incident happened sometime before 4:18 p.m. in the 6400 block of Spicewood Springs Boulevard, which is northwest of North Capital of Texas Highway.
Authorities have not yet released many details concerning the accident but say a car ran off the roadway and became submerged in a creek.
Rescue officials extricated one adult patient and performed CPR. Austin-Travis County EMS pronounced the patient dead at the scene of the crash.
A full investigation of the cause of the accident is underway.
