AUSTIN, TX — A man died Sunday morning after a single-car crash on North Interstate 35 near Austin’s Rainey Street Historic District, reports KXAN.
Authorities say the collision occurred in the 90 block of North I-35 shortly after 9:00 a.m.
The man was driving a Nissan southbound when, for unknown reasons, the car ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Police confirmed the victim died from his injuries despite life-saving measures.
As of Wednesday evening, an investigation into the cause of the accident remained underway.
