AUSTIN, TX – An elderly driver killed in a crash on Mesa Drive in Northwest Austin last week has been identified by police, CBS Austin reports.
The victim was 82-year-old Margaret A. Brubeck, according to the Austin Police Department. Investigators determined that Brubeck was driving a Subaru Forester on June 17 at about 3 p.m. when her SUV veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Brubeck was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, where she passed away the following day.
Police said it was the 52nd fatal traffic accident in Austin so far this year.
