AUSTIN, TX – A 91-year-old woman died last week from injuries sustained in a solo crash in Northeast Austin, reports KXAN.
The accident occurred on Wednesday around 7:39 p.m. on Forbes Drive, which is near Walnut Creek Business Park.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of the vehicle in which the victim was a passenger left the roadway and struck a light pole.
Medics transported both the driver and the passenger to an area hospital. The passenger, identified as Carolina Lopez, died on Thursday. The driver sustained minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision.
