AUSTIN, TX – One person was hurt Wednesday night in a multi-vehicle accident along a major roadway in northeast Austin, reports KXAN.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Dessau Road near the intersection with Collinwood West Drive. This is east of I-35 and west of Jourdan-Bahman Pioneer Farms.

Police haven’t disclosed the cause of the accident, but they say one person became trapped and required extrication. Medics transported that person to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries have been reported so far in connection to the collision.

Drivers experienced delays along Dessau Road in the area of the accident while crews helped to free the victim from their vehicle and to clear the scene.
