AUSTIN, TX – One person died following a collision between a motorcyclist and one other vehicle in south Austin on Thursday evening.

The fatal crash happened at the intersection of West Slaughter Lane and South Congress Avenue reports KXAN. Austin-Travis County EMS attempted life saving efforts on one victim but they ultimately died at the scene.

The cause of the crash and identity of the victim have not yet been provided. There was a road closure in the area as authorities investigated the crash.
