AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have announced the death of a pedestrian that was struck last Tuesday in north Austin, reports KXAN.

Officials initially reported that emergency teams had performed CPR at the scene of the accident and again on the way to the hospital. They now say that a female pedestrian died Wednesday at the hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.

The crash happened on Tuesday morning on the northbound side of US-183 near Pond Springs Road, which is just north of Anderson Arbor.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim except to say that it was an adult female.

There’s still no word regarding the vehicle involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
