AUSTIN, TX – One person went to the hospital Sunday night after a fiery crash along the interstate in south Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened at 9:05 p.m. just north of East Stassney Lane on the northbound service road for South I-35. This is near the Williamson Creek Greenbelt.
Police haven’t indicated what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved, but they say that a vehicle caught fire following a crash.
Emergency teams found one person unconscious at the scene and transported that patient to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical injuries.
Officials warned drivers to avoid this area of the frontage road while crews attended to the victim and worked to clear the scene.
