GEORGETOWN, TX – At least one person died Wednesday night after a major accident along the highway in northeast Georgetown, reports CBS Austin.

The accident happened around 6:47 p.m. on the southbound side of TX-130 just before FM 971. This is southwest of Berry Springs Park and Preserve and northeast of Charles A Forbes Middle School.
Georgetown Police haven’t specified the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved, nor have they identified the victim(s).
Officials closed the southbound lanes of TX-130 in the vicinity of the accident while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
