COPPERAS COVE, TX – A 48-year-old man died last month in central Texas after a head-on collision along a highway just north of Copperas Cove.
According to Copperas Cove Leader Press, the incident happened on Saturday, August 12th, at 12:26 p.m. on FM 116 between Copperas Cove and Pidcoke.
The investigation indicates that a southbound 2007 BMW veered into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2023 Toyota pickup. The crash caused the latter vehicle to ignite.
Two people in the Toyota were able to exit the vehicle and sustained only minor injuries.
The driver of the BMW, identified as Bernard Christian Uhler II, died at the scene of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
