LEANDER, TX- Two people died, and four others were hospitalized last Saturday after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash at a Leander intersection.
According to KXAN, the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hero Way and the frontage road for the 183A Toll Road, which is just southeast of Honda Leander.
The cause of the crash is still unclear, but police say it involved a silver vehicle and a tan vehicle.
Both the driver and the passenger in the silver vehicle died at the scene. KXAN posted an update to the original story, identifying the victims as 35-year-old Jose Luis Rebollar Osorio and 69-year-old Avelina Osorio Lopez.
Additionally, two adults and two children went to the hospital with injuries.
The driver of the tan vehicle left the scene of the accident on foot. Authorities identified him as 32-year-old Jose Luis Gonzalez. Officials arrested Gonzalez on Thursday on a charge of leaving the scene of a vehicular accident.
