AUSTIN, TX – Police are looking for the driver of a white pickup truck that struck and killed a pedestrian on Monday in downtown Austin.

According to KVUE, the incident happened shortly after 2:30 a.m., just east of Red River Street on 7th Street, which is near the popular night clubs Elysium and Barbarella.

Police say the male pedestrian died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

Thus far, officials have not located the hit-and-run driver.

A full investigation is underway.
