AUSTIN, TX – A man was rushed to the hospital he was hit by a vehicle in south Austin early this morning.

According to a report by CBS Austin, the victim was walking in the area of Ben white Boulevard and Casey James Street at about 2 a.m. when he was hit by an unspecified vehicle.

The unidentified man was rushed to nearby St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver involved fled in the immediate aftermath of the crash. Investigators are working to identify and locate that individual.
