JONESTOWN, TX – One person died, and another was hospitalized on Sunday after two motorcycles collided along a busy roadway in northwest Travis County, reports KXAN.
The incident happened just before 9 a.m. in the vicinity of 19400 FM 1431, which is east of Lago Vista and on the western outskirts of Jonestown.
It’s still unclear how the crash occurred. Police say that one motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash, while the other went to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center on a trauma alert. The second patient is expected to survive. Authorities have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity to the public.
Officials closed both sides of 1431 while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
