NORTH ZULCH, TX – Two small children were hurt Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash in west-central Madison County, reports KBTX 3.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Highway 21 and Highway 39 in the city of North Zulch. This is just north of College Station and about 120 miles northeast of Austin.
Police say that a BMW struck an eastbound Mitsubishi, causing the latter vehicle to travel into the westbound lane of traffic on Highway 21. The Mitsubishi then overturned when a westbound SUV hit it.
Medics airlifted a baby and a toddler to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
It’s unclear if other people involved in the accident sustained injuries.
Motorists experienced delays along Highway 21 in the area of the wreck while emergency crews deployed rescue efforts and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
