TRAVIS CO., TX – Two people went to the hospital Wednesday evening after a major accident with entrapment in western Travis County.
According to KXAN, the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bee Creek Road and Pace Bend Road South, which is just northwest of Pedernales Fire Department Station 801 in Spicewood.
It’s not yet clear what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved. Police say that crews worked to extricate five people from the wreckage.
Medics transported two people to the hospital. One went via ambulance to Dell Seton with non-critical injuries, and the other went via StarFlight with serious injuries.
Officials closed roadways in the area of the crash and encouraged motorists to expect delays.
The investigation is ongoing.
