GEORGETOWN, TX – Motorists likely encountered substantial delays Monday night after a crash along the interstate in central Williamson County.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35 at FM 972 in Georgetown. This is about 28 miles north of Austin.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of he wreck, the number of cars involved, or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
Additionally, it’s unclear if anyone involved in the crash sustained injuries or required hospitalization.
Officials closed the southbound side of I-35 in the area of the collision while emergency teams worked at the scene.
