AUSTIN, TX – A man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle on Research Boulevard late last month.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Oscar Carreon Valdez, reports KXAN. He was standing outside of his vehicle in the 8000 block of Research Blvd, inspecting damages from a previous crash when a grey Mercedes-Benz struck him.

Valdez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are searching for the driver of the Mercedes who fled the scene.
