AUSTIN, TX — A man died early Monday after crashing his car into a concrete pillar near the Shady Lake Acres area in northeast Austin, according to FOX 7 Austin.
The accident took place near the intersection of Giles Lane and East Braker Lane at around 12:11 a.m.
An early investigation indicates the man was behind the wheel of a green Chevrolet heading northbound on Giles Lane when the vehicle ran off the roadway and slammed into the concrete pillar.
The victim was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he later died of his injuries.
