AUSTIN, TX – A man was hospitalized after injuries sustained by an ATV driver at Onion Creek Golf Course on Sunday, Jan. 16.
Rob Ormand was playing a golf tournament when the ATV driver apparently hit him on purpose. According to KXAN, the ATV driver and passenger were taunting golfers while recklessly driving on the course.
Ormand was attempting to get the driver to slow down by waving his arms at them when they turned the ATV and struck him.
Ormand suffered fractures on his leg, hip, and hand that required multiple surgeries.
The Austin Police Department is investigating the incident. It is unknown whether any arrests have been made yet.
