AUSTIN, TX – Crews responded to a major accident involving two 18-wheelers along the interstate in far south Austin Wednesday.
According to CBS Austin, the collision occurred at 11:13 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 just past FM 1626. This is south of both Southpark Meadows and Parkside at Slaughter Creek.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the accident, but they say neither of the truck drivers required hospitalization.
The crash closed the northbound side of I-35 for many hours while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
