LEANDER, TX – Police are investigating a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that killed one person early Sunday in Leander, reports KXAN.
The accident happened just after midnight in the area of 400 or 500 Municipal Drive, which is southwest of US-183 and west of Leander Middle School.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a male motorcyclist lost control of his bike and crashed after leaving the roadway. The impact of the crash threw the biker from his motorcycle to the ground, and he died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity.
Officials closed Municipal Driver in the area of the accident while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
