AUSTIN, TX – A motorcycle collision killed one person along a busy roadway in east Austin on Friday, reports CBS Austin.
The incident happened around 6:09 a.m. in the area of 9700 Giles Lane, which is just north of Johnny Morris Road.
It’s not yet clear if any other vehicles were involved in the accident, and there’s no word yet on the cause of the collision.
Emergency teams attempted to resuscitate a patient but were unsuccessful, and they died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
Officials asked drivers to avoid the area while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
