AUSTIN, TX – Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed one person on Sunday afternoon in northwest Austin, reports KXAN.

The incident happened around 1:19 p.m. on the northbound side of North FM 620 Road near US-183, which is just southeast of Lakeline Mall in the Pecan Park area.

Authorities have not yet commented on the cause of the accident, nor is it clear if there were other vehicles involved.

Emergency crews attempted CPR, but the patient died at the scene of the collision. The name of the victim has not yet been released to the public.

Officials encouraged motorists to expect delays in the area while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
