KILLEEN, TX – A 46-year-old man died last Thursday after his motorcycle crashed at a busy intersection in Killeen in the early morning hours, reports KWTX 10.
The incident happened around 2:08 a.m. at the intersection of North Twin Creek Drive and East Rancier Avenue, which is just east of Long Branch Park.
Police suspect that the northbound motorcyclist likely lost control of his bike while turning right onto Rancier Avenue from North Twin Creek Drive. The motorcycle hit the median, at which point the man was ejected into the roadway.
Medics attempted CPR, but the motorcyclist died after transport to a local hospital.
An investigation is underway.
