AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist died Saturday from injuries sustained in a wrong-way crash on a busy roadway in southeast Austin.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on Teri Road near South Pleasant Valley Road. This is east of I-35 in the Franklin Park area.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the 27-year-old motorcyclist entered the wrong side of the roadway and crashed head-on into another vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as William Heinz-Phillip Fountain, died after transport to a local hospital.
The other driver did not sustained injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
