AUSTIN, TX – A multi-vehicle accident in north Austin over the weekend left seven people injured, KXAN reports. A total of four vehicles were involved in the wreck Saturday in the area of North Lamar Boulevard and West Parmer Lane at about 11 a.m.
Austin-Travis EMS emergency crews responded to the scene and rescued one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. The person was reported to have been seriously injured and was transported to St .David’s Round Rock Medical Center. A child was also seriously hurt, and was rushed to Dell Children’s Hospital.
Two people sustained injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening, and were taken to North Austin Hospital. The three other people hurt in the crash refused transport to the hospital, according to medics.
No details were immediately released on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
