AUSTIN, TX – Five people went to the hospital Friday morning after a 6-vehicle crash involving a semi near downtown Austin, reports KXAN.
The incident happened in the area of 1000 South I-35 northbound, which is near the river.
It’s not yet clear what caused the accident. Police say that four adults and one child went to the hospital with non-critical injuries. Approximately nine others did not require hospitalization.
Officials warned of significant delays along the I-35 bridge over Lady Bird Lake while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
