AUSTIN, TX — One person was critically injured Tuesday evening after a vehicle crash near the East Oak Hill area in southwest Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS).

The accident took place near the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Boston Lane and was first reported by ATCEMS at 6:36 p.m.
EMS and Austin Fire crews were dispatched to the scene for a rescue extrication after receiving reports of one victim trapped in a vehicle.
After the victim was removed, they were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
