TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — One person was injured Monday morning in a crash involving two commercial trucks on State Highway 71 in Del Valle, reports KXAN.

Austin Fire Department said the collision occurred at the FM 973 intersection, east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Details are limited, but Austin-Travis County EMS said one person was pinned inside a truck and had to be extricated. Medics then rushed the victim to St. David’s South Austin Medical with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported.

Multiple lanes were closed to traffic as crews worked to remove fuel from one of the trucks.

No further information has been released on the cause of the accident.
