WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — One person died early Tuesday after a multi-vehicle accident involving a big rig on Interstate 35 in Round Rock, reports KXAN.

The three-vehicle crash happened on the southbound lanes of the interstate at Hesters Crossing Road at approximately 5:15 a.m.

It is unclear what led up to the accident, but Round Rock Police said one person was pronounced deceased.

Two other occupants were reported injured, though the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

All southbound lanes were shut down during the response and traffic was instructed to divert through the frontage road.

By 9:45 a.m., the freeway had begun reopening to normal traffic.
