AUSTIN, TX – A female pedestrian died Friday morning after a vehicle struck her along the interstate frontage road in North Austin, reports CBS Austin.
Police say the incident happened around 6:47 a.m. in the 11400 block of the southbound frontage road for I-35, which is just north of Braker Lane in the North Oaks area of Austin.
Emergency response teams performed CPR at the scene, but they were unable to save the woman.
It is unclear at this time if the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene.
A full investigation of the incident is underway.
