AUSTIN, TX — A woman was critically injured Sunday night when she was struck by a pickup truck near the South Lamar area in southwest Austin, according to CBS Austin.
The crash happened in the 2100 block of West Ben White Boulevard service road and Pack Saddle Pass shortly after 10:00 p.m.
The woman was crossing the eastbound lanes of the service road when she was hit by a white pickup truck. The driver of the truck stopped for a short moment before fleeing the scene, according to Austin police.
The woman was transported to South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Her condition has not been updated.
An investigation is underway as police work to identify the suspect driver.
