AUSTIN, TX – Police said a pedestrian was killed in a collision with a vehicle near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Tuesday morning.
According to KXAN, police, rescue crews and firefighters responded to the scene after the incident was reported at about 11 a.m. The adult pedestrian was struck by the vehicle in the 7200 block of East Ben White Boulevard and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not released.
Multiple lanes were shut down in the area while crews responded to the accident. Drivers were advised to expect prolonged lane closures and to seek alternate routes.
