AUSTIN, TX – A person was hit and killed while crossing I-35 in North Austin around midnight Tuesday, reports KXAN.

The person was hit while crossing the interstate’s northbound lanes near Howard Lane. The driver remained on the scene to speak with the police.

The victim was rushed to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.
