AUSTIN, TX – Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of one person in north Austin last Thursday, December 23rd.

According to KXAN, Uriel Veloz was struck in the 13500 block of I-35 North near the Airport Boulevard overpass.

Veloz suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Police believe the vehicle involved is a 2013 or 2015 Nissan Pathfinder with significant front-end damage. No arrests have been made at this point.
