AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died last Friday after being hit by a vehicle while walking on I-35 in North Austin.

According to CBS Austin, the unidentified victims was struck at about 9:45 p.m. in the 5500 block of the interstate, near the US-290 interchange.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda Accord involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the fatal crash.
