DEL VALLE, TX – A pedestrian accident on the south side of Del Valle sent one person to the hospital on New Year’s Day, reports Fox 7 Austin.
The incident happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the area of 1000 McAngus Road, which is just west of TX-130 and south of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Police haven’t yet disclosed any details regarding the cause or circumstances of the crash. They say that medics airlifted the pedestrian to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical injuries.
At this time, authorities are not calling the collision a hit-and-run, but they’ve also not released the identity of the driver involved in the wreck.
Motorists likely encountered delays in the area of the crash while emergency crews prepped the patient and worked to clear the scene.
