AUSTIN, TX – One person went to the hospital Tuesday night after a vehicle struck them along a major south Austin roadway, reports ATCEMS.

The incident occurred at 8:56 p.m. in the area of 3000 South Lamar Boulevard, which is near the intersection with Barton Skyway.
Police haven’t yet specified whether the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident. It’s also not clear whether the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
Medics transported the pedestrian to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.
