AUSTIN, TX – One person died on Thursday morning in east Austin after a vehicle struck them at a busy intersection, reports KXAN.

The accident happened around 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of Oak Springs Drive and Airport Boulevard, which is just north of Eastland Plaza and west of Givens District Park.

Police haven’t shared many details regarding the incident, nor have they released the identity of the victim. They say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to render aid and answer questions.
