AUSTIN, TX – One person died Tuesday morning when a vehicle ran over a pedestrian on I-35 between Austin and Pflugerville.

KXAN reports that the crash happened around 6 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35 near Grand Avenue Parkway.

The collision resulted in road closures on I-35 southbound at Grand Avenue Parkway for approximately three hours while police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene. Officials diverted traffic to the frontage road at exit 247 during this time.
