AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and four people were injured Wednesday in a major east Austin accident near Hornsby Bend, reports ATCEMS.

The crash happened at 6:51 a.m. on FM 969, or Webberville Road, between Gilbert Road and Hound Dog Trail.
Police say at least one person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication. Medics attempted resuscitation, but could not revive the pinned in patient, and they died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identity.
Medics transported five additional patients to Dell Seton with non-critical injuries.
