AUSTIN, TX – A serious car accident in the Westlake Hills area of Southwest Austin seriously injured one person on Wednesday afternoon.

According to KXAN, the incident happened around 1:40 p.m. in the area of Bee Caves Road and Montebello Road, which is just west of Zilker Park.

Police have not shared many details about how the accident happened. They say a vehicle overturned and that one person became pinned in the wreckage.

After extrication, medics transported an adult victim to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with significant injuries.
